Welcome to the first Better Baltimore Youth Movement (BBYM) blog post.
Yesterday, many members of the Better BALTIMORE Youth Movement visited Detroit and met many members of the Better DETROIT Youth Movement. Several of these members are performed choreographed poetry that captured attendees attention and garnered a lot of positive reviews.
Chris Wechner, one of the Better Detroit Youth Movement's members who helps share the organization's word locally commented, "The girls who gave us a demo performance were really amazing. The ideas and thoughts they shared were pretty deep, and they were obviously well rehearsed, and they added a lot of energy into it, also. They really made sure the audience felt their emotion."
The group is looking to sell the poetry book they wrote.
They will be competing, and videos of their performance will be released publicly shortly thereafter.
Baltimore left a taste in Detroit's mouth that made them wanting more.
